Mrs. Rena “Sang” Delco, of Houston, Texas, departed this life at 9:48 am on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
Mrs. Rena Delco was born to the Late Mr. Wilma Arceneaux, Sr., and Mary Louise George Arceneaux on January 6, 1941, in Crowley, LA.
She was known for her warm heart and generous spirit. A devoted Christian, her faith in God guided her life and inspired the love and kindness she shared with family, friends, and everyone she met.
She devoted many years as a homemaker, creating a warm and caring home for her family. Later, she dedicated over 17 years of service at JPMorgan Chase, where she was known for her dedication, kindness, and strong work ethic. She was also a member of the Houston Crowley Day Club and enjoyed the fellowship and friendships she found there.
She was united in marriage to Wilfred Delco, Jr., on October 26, 1963. During 62 years of marriage, three children were born to this union.
She leaves to cherish her memories: One son, Frederick L. Delco, two daughters, Sandra G. Delco and Rayetta D. Delco, all of Houston, TX. Three sisters Mrs. Elizabeth (Leroy) Goodwill of Crowley, LA, Mrs. Isabella (Delbert Sr.) Green of Eunice, LA, and Mrs. Brenda (Stanley) Lambert of Crowley, LA. One Brother-in-Law, Belton James (Lois) Narcisse, Three Grandchildren, Tyrin (Tracy) Delco, TaLisha (Tony) Cavness, and Rolanda Delco, all of Houston, TX. Five great-grandchildren, Kennedy Nicholson, Chanell Delco, Reagan Delco, Aaron Cavness, and TaLia Cavness, all of Houston, TX. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other relatives and friends mourning her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Wilma Arceneaux Sr., Mary Louise George Arceneaux, her granddaughter: Marlayna Gail Delco, her sisters, Georgiana “Boo” Thomas, and Lou Ella Keller, her brothers: Wilma Arceneaux Jr., and Wilbert Arceneaux, her nephew: Ricky Keller, her nieces: Teresa Mayfield Lambert and Pamela Siverand.
For I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4: 4-8
