A viewing to honor Derrick’s life will be held on August 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at New Home Family Worship Center, 4805 Schurmier Rd, Houston, TX. Immediately following, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same location beginning at 11:00 a.m., where friends and family will gather to reflect on cherished memories and celebrate his enduring impact. Derrick will be laid to rest at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2426 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX, later the same day.
