Betty Wilson-Kidsy

Betty Wilson Kidsy was born on August 20, 1964 in Houston, TX to the late Joe McQuan and Ruth B. Wilson. Betty resided in Houston, TX until God saw fit to call her mother home. Betty later moved to Natchitoches, LA where she was raised by her maternal aunt Ruth Edna Davis. She attended public school in the Natchitoches Parish school district where she graduated from the Natchitoches Central High School in 1984. After high school Betty returned back to Houston, TX where she met Wilbert Peavy whom she married in the fall of 1984. To this union two children were born, Brittnany Peavy and Jazmind Peavy.

Betty accepted christ at an early age as her lord and savior. She was a faithful member of the New Hope Baptist church but would often visit the Holman Street Baptist Church. Betty was a very loving, kind, and caring indivdual who would open her heart to anyone in need. She was active in rearing her daughters with the help of sister Elizabeth and brother-in-law Ford.

Later in life Betty was blessed to find love once again. In the spring of 2015 she married David Kidsy. They continued in marital bliss until God called David home. On Saturday May 18, 2019 God saw fit to call his angel home. Betty made her peaceful transition surrounded by family and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her husband David Kidsy, grandmother Mattie Armstrong, grandfather A.D. Turner, mother Ruth Wilson, father Joe McQuan, aunt Ruth Wilson, brother Isadore Jackson and sister Gloria Mitchell.

She leaves to cherish the most precious memories, daughters Brittany Peavy and Jazmine Edwards (Clarence); three sisters Diane Young, Elizabeth Williams (Ford) and Jessie Corbin; one brother John T. Wilson II; seven grandchildren Jada, Jaleel, Jaydon, Jeremiah, ZaKiya, ZaCoreya, and Zoey; Lifelong friend Vanessa Brewster; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and close friends.
