Benjamin Orta

On August 23, 1964 Benjamin Orta was born to Luis Orta and Hortense Velasquez
in Dallas, Texas. Benjamin grew up in South Park Houston, Texas and in the early 90’s moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota with family.

Benjamin’s passion for cars made it easy to pursue a job as a mechanic. Over his
lifetime he competed in car shows, racing cars, but most of all he loved to fish.

Benjamin departed this life on July 10, 2020. He is preceded in death by his
grandmother Monica Velasquez, mother Hortense Velasquez and son Vicente Orta.

Benjamin leaves to cherish his memory: his father Luis Orta, his wife Africa Orta, A
daughter Bianca Orta, two sons Benjamin Fransaw and Gabriel Orta, two brothers
Luis Orta Jr, Mark Orta, two sisters Pricilla Hooltea, Gina Demarco, eight
grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
